Taking a look back to #TomorrowlandUNITESA

it was lit... #TomorrowlandUNITESA

The magic of Tomorrowland was right here in South Africa on the 23rd of July at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg for the very 1st time. Thousands of unique individuals flocked to the Ticketpro Dome with the National flag, flower headdresses, neon outfits and weird & wonderful creations for an 12 hour non-stop house & electro music experience at Tomorrowland UNITE SA.

So as soon as you entered the venue, you were greeted with human-size mushrooms, antique clocks & giant flags. Right in front was a replica of the world famous stage. An absolutely insane 25m x 15m out-of-this-world theatrical platform which transported party-goers to a magical realm of unity, music & mayhem.

Local DJ's; Kyle Watson, Household Funk, Vimo & Chunda Munki, Ricardo Da Costa, Timo ODV, Roger Goode and DJ Fresh kept the crowd entertained with loads of feel-good and upbeat tracks which blew my mind.

Then, at 20:45, the moment that I had been waiting for since arrival, was upon us. There was a 10 seconds countdown on the 100m HD screen to the LIVE cross over to Tomorrowland in Belgium. This live connection would be building bridges from the Tomorrowland Main Stage to right here in front of me at the Ticketpro Dome, aswell as Mexico, India, Japan, Colombia, Germany & Israel. The very 1st International act was Nicky Romero and it was as if the crowd in Johannesburg went wild listening to his explosive & progressive house tracks. Afrojack, the Dutch house star was up next with his huge drops & exceptional vocals. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike proved to the world just why they are the world's number one DJ's with insane crowd engagement with local audiences, by splitting the crowd & getting them to sit down and jump up as the bass dropped. It was incredible. The Swedish music duo, Axwell Ingrosso brought the electro euphoria with CO2 canons, sound & lighting being in perfect unison with the Belgium show.

Dean Fuel kept the local crowd pumping until 02:00 with a very special set which was dedicated to the 12 Years of Tomorrowland.

The show was incredible. Complete with confetti canons, lasers, pyrotechnics, world-class production & innovative stage design, this spectacle was an unforgettable event, which blew South Africa away.

Check out here on what you missed out on if you weren't there.
