Father's Day Rosebank Mall Gift Guide

One of my favourite malls to go to, would definitely be Rosebank Mall in Johannesburg.

And with Father's Day around the corner, I decided to pop in at some of the stores, with Hello Joburg Magazine, to check out what they have and to get something special for my Dad to add some items to my #HelloRecommends Father's Day Gift Guide.

Now lets be honest, majority of us can 'classify' our fathers in one or more of these categories. So to make it even easier; here is a quick and easy gifting guide for those of you, who have yet to go grab something for your dad and need a bit of help to see what's out at Rosebank Mall.

The Corporate:

@Home - Slanted Decanter with 6 Tumblers: R439.00
The Gadget Shop - Magnetic Hourglass: R299.00
Jones & Kent - Florsheim Blue Suede Shoes: R2,550.00
The Sports Fanatic:

@Home - "Cookie Pocket" Mug: R75.00

Incredible Connection: Powerbeats Wireless Headphones: R3,599.00

Kameraz - Instax Mini 90 & Leather Cover: R2,350.00

No matter what 'type' of man your father is, I believe that every man needs to be well groomed and look after his appearance. And that is why a visit to Sorbet Man in Rosebank Mall is never a bad idea. Book your dad for a haircut, a shave or a manli-cure to clean him up and looking clean and fresh this Father's Day. Check out their full list of treatments and services here. (They do a whole lot more than what you are expecting. So seriously, check out that list.)

Sorbet Man - Hairy Eye Bear Products: from R68.00
Lets hope that this guide helped you out a bit to get your dad something special this Father's Day at Rosebank Mall. I know it sure helped me. There is so much more in store, so head out to Rosebank Mall for a proper Father's Day experience.

Kick it for a Cause

Balls for Brovember, its not just all about the Mo' this month...

"I know the importance of early detection." - Those are the words of Cancer survivor Mark Pilgrim. The Ambassador of More Balls than Most Cancer Foundation (MBTM) says that ''one sometimes only realises the importance after you have been touched."

Sorbet Man has kicked off a new initiative entitled Balls for Brovember. On 29 November 2014, Siv Ngesi, Tumisho Masha, Mark Fish and Gordon Gilbert will be heading down to Discovery Soccer Park in Jo'burg for the very 1st Balls for Brovember Action Football Tournament to raise funds for and increase awareness of prostrate and testicular cancer.

"Men tend to be proud and sometimes ignorant, but the fact is, ignorance can cost you your life." says Mark Pilgrim on the topic of prostrate and testicular cancer. He continues to say that: "Initiatives like this, help create awareness and much needed funds to causes like MBTM, to drive the message that early detection saves lives."

Teams of 8 Players...
32 Teams...
And loads of giveaways, with the ultimate prize being a return trip for 2 to New York City.

Sounding like its a day for everyone. Sorbet Man Marketing Manager encourages everyone to join in on the day. Friends, family and everyone else are welcome to come down and 'Kick it for a Cause.'
Interested in getting out on the field on that day? Get a team of 8 guys together and a once off entry fee of R1,500.00 per team secures your spot for the day. And a bonus is, proceeds of your entries are donated to MBTM. To enter a team, visit the Sorbet Man tab at www.sorbet.co.za or drop an email to events@sorbet.co.za

Now if you have not done your good deed for the month yet. I suggest you think about getting in on the action. And even if you can't participate in the festivities that day, I urge you to make a donation for the cause and help us raise awareness and funds for those who need it most.

If you are feeling that urge & need to make that donation (which I'm hoping is strong):
Sorbet Events
Branch: FNB Rivonia
Branch Nr: 250355
Account Nr: 62351790037
Reference: B4B + "Your Name"
And then just drop a proof of payment to events@sorbet.co.za and throughmyeyeslloydi@yahoo.com so that we can keep track of who to send our thanks to! (This part is very important)

#RealMenGroom

Those are #ThreeWordsSheWantsToHear...

Once upon a time...
THE WORLD BELONGED TO MEN
and basically, then women came along and changed the ball game!

So gents if you don't already know, the Sorbet Group in South Africa decided to launch a new venture and target a new demographic, The Metrosexual and have opened the 1st Grooming Bar in Sandton City in Johannesburg. Set out to cultivate the sophisticated male grooming culture amongst men of all ages.

“Sorbet Man is the real man’s answer to looking good and feeling good, without the fuss. It’s a space for men to be men; to express their individuality and to embrace their new-age manliness,” says Ian Fuhr, founder of the Sorbet Group, author of Get That Feeling and co-partner of Sorbet Man.

Sorbet Man opened its doors and I was at the official launch party organised by 4ElementsMedia.

Now for those of you who don't know 4ElementsMedia, all you have to know is that they organise the best parties. With all the right people invited to attend. Lovely wine and food was aplenty and everyone was having a great time from the start, which only meant that the night could only get better!

Sorbet Man caters for the 'Real Men'... The best part about this idea and store set up is that all the magic happens in the back behind the facade and friendly staff awaiting your arrival. With prices to work with any man's budget, I do not see how you would not be even in the slightest bit intrigued to find out more and even go try a MANicure for the 1st time.

Throughout the night, everyone was treated to hand, neck and shoulder massages; shoe shines; facial waxes;  some threading and even some touch ups on some gents hair. Let the pictures just speak for themselves...

Social Media was buzzing with
#SorbetMan
#RealMenGroom
#SaveTheShave

So gents, there really is no reason to not make a stop at Sorbet Man in Sandton to check out what they have to offer for you!
