#Stil

"Stil" the production that is going to shock audiences. (Well that is what the press release said.)

But. No lies.
I have seen this production.
It is intense.
It keeps you wondering.

Writing this now, I have goosebumps just thinking back to watching Jannes Erasmus & Zöricke Snyman perform this production for a small audience in a school theatre.

The basic outline. An Afrikaans play that follows hopeless romantic journalist & his somewhat "mad/crazy" lover, that you come to think & believe is a teacher. But why is there an Inspector?

"They are nothing more than ordinary people with an extraordinary situation. But who is the 3rd party? What is the quickest way to stop blood? And does the modern day fairytale & happy ending really exist? Come have a seat & you be the judge." The words from Jannes Erasmus himself. (If this doesn't intrigue you even a little bit, well then, you should be prepared for guns, blood & roses.)

The set is designed with only tables & chairs, by the award winning set designer Wilhem Disbergen. The unique U-shaped set offers a setting that is going to keep the audience on its toes & involved in the production taking place center stage in the Momentum Theatre at the South African State Theatre in Pretoria.
