Dinner with Friends is always a blessing. Got to visit this little gem of a restaurant with some of those closest to my heart.
Upon arrival. Bubbles were served. They know us so well already.
The best jalapeno poppers that I have had in a very long time indeed. None of those that burn your mouth out so that you can't even taste the rest of dinner. They have a flavourful & spicy bite that lasts just long enough to think that you will break out in a bit of a sweat.
Bobotie styled Samosa paired with a homemade chutney. A great combination of two of my favourite South African dishes.
Wenchy was just loving the Nacho's with fresh guacamole, sour cream & fresh chopped tomatoes & onions. Smothered in lots of molten cheese. It is one of those dishes that you just want to keep on eating until there is nothing left.
I rate that this could become one of my favourite lunch time dishes. The Asian Beef Salad. The Asian influence sure comes through with some of the heat from the chilli, paired with some roasted cashews & fresh greens it makes for a refreshing plate.
The ManCave Fillet. Well, perfectly cooked. Soft & Tender. With some crispy Bacon, this is a winner for anyone who is keen on a good piece of meat.
There was more food on it's way... A trio of Burgers. Simply delicious. Juicy & Full of Flavour. (They make good takeaways too.)
Dessert... (My favourite part of the evening!) Donuts!
And Chocolate Mud Cakes. Oh! And Chocolate Brownies.
(Again, my inner fat kid was thriving.)
In general, what a wonderful experience at The Local Kitchen Co.
