“It’s Finger Lickin’ Good”
KFC South Africa has recently celebrated the return of its most memorable tagline - “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good” in a Sensory Dining Experience at the Good Food Studio, in Johannesburg with Micasa musician turned chef extraordinaire, J'Something playing host the who’s who of Jo’burg in a culinary affair.
Guests, including local KFC fans were delighted as J’Something, assisted by Sam Mdluli KFC Head Cook, revealed how KFC freshly prepares its Finger Lickin’ Good chicken by hand every single day in KFC restaurants. So Sam has worked at KFC for over 25 years and during this time he has prepared over 91 million pieces of chicken, preparing it exactly the same way Colonel Harland Saunders did over 75 years ago.
We then tried for ourselves at preparing KFC’s Original Recipe chicken and had the opportunity to be one of the first few people in the country to not only make, but also try out the new KFC Burrito coming to KFC restaurants September 6th. (Diarise that!)
After trying to perfect the Original Secret Recipe Chicken we got to tuck into a delicious KFC dining experience, only to be surprised by a serenade from J’Something.
It was an EPIC night out and I'm sure that everyone enjoyed the evening; swapping stories and childhood memories of their Finger Lickin’ Good moments!
