Eco-Friendly Beer... a way of the future?

We all like it when something tastes great & it is satisfying, right?
Well, what better when something is awesome on the palate & kind to the planet?

News just in, Mad Giant's Killer Hop Pale Ale has just been named the overall best beer at the 2018/19 African Beer Awards. With just 3 years of brewing beer for happiness, they soon realised that the only way to smack a smile on, is when you know your impact on the planet & people. With plastic fast becoming one of the biggest pollutants in our rivers & seas, Mad Giant have embarked on a journey to help eradicate plastics.

"It is our responsibility to be friendly to the environment; I want to create a legacy worth something to the next generation." Eben Uys (Brewmaster & Founder)

Now the award-winning Jozi-based brewery is set out to intensify its battle on what they deem to be, & is arguably the world's biggest scourge: single-use plastics.

Changing over to a new cardboard design packaging is a step in the right direction. (And paper in this instance is pricier than plastics!) But their love for beer will keep them brewing at their 1 Fox Street location in the revitalised & vibey spot near the Newtown Precint.

The Killer Hop, made with 4 types of aromativ hops & a touch of malt, is not the only Mad Giant baby, but there is a larger family:
 - Urban Legend; a bold & fruity IPA.
 - Mad Giant; the Lager with hints of honey, biscuit & toffee.
 - The Guzzler; an easy drinking Pilsner.
 - Electric Light; the freshly baked homemade bread Weiss.

You should be able to get some Mad Giant at various locations, but check out the Mad Giant website here to find a stockist near you. Or drop them a mail at info@madgiant.co.za if you're still slightly confused.
