Good Food & Wine Show

So, the Good Food & Wine Show is around the corner for the Joburg crowd. This year, the man who is considered as probably being the world's 1st celebrity chef - Marco Pierre White, alongside SA's 1st Michelin-starred chef; Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen are the international headliners to look out for.

At the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg from 28 July to 30 July, the latest foodie trends are to be dished up & foodies will be able to interact with an exciting line-up of the biggest food personalities in our country. Some of these guys, include J'Something, Jenny Morris, Lentswe Bhengu, Sarah Graham, Neill Anthony & Shewyn Weaich.

Now for those of us who like going for the wine, we are in luck. Sommeliers Lloyd Jusa from the Saxon Hotel & Gregory Mutambe from the 12 Apostles Hotel will be on hand to share some of their wine knowledge with everyone who is there to eat, drink & be merry.

This year, the exhibition hall will be divided into 9 different areas that will make it an interesting experience, where you will be able to check out the Market, Street Food, Gourmet, Baking, Kids, Wellness, Lifestyle, Wine, Beer & Alcohol.

White was last in SA back in 2014 & has said that he is very excited to be back to headline the #GFWS2017 & share his culinary journey with visitors & the top local talent in SA. Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, who is the owner of JAN restaurant in Nice, on the French Riviera, had his Middleburg origins set in the foundations of his for his Boereseun & French twist cooking style on Boerekos. Added bonus, all visitors will be able to watch White & van der Westhuizen in action, every day at the Chefs Open Theatre.

There will also be 9 theatres this year, of which 7 will be free of charge to access.
