The East Rand had better be ready for the very 1st LALT Play Festival which is set to be an annual event kicking off on October 2nd and running until 10 October 2015 at Live Arts Little Theatre in Johannesburg.
A wonderful opportunity for a wide variety of actors, comedians and performers have been afforded to showcase their work to the world.
Only 10 shows have been selected for the first ever LALT Play Festival.
Each play is set to show 2 - 4 times over the next 9 days. The wide variety of shows has promised to keep audiences from all walks of life entertained.
The show to open the LALT Play Festival is PANDORA SE BOKS with the well acclaimed David Louw taking to the stage tonight.
The official opening play, ONTHOU by Duan Craffert, starring Phillip Schnetler & Debrè Rossouw in the lead roles will be on stage at 19:30. ONTHOU walked away with the Woordfees' best production prize.
To add that extra something to this occasion, special lighting design has been brought in and additional brand new wardrobes have been built to accommodate more actors.
