Breezy is Back...

Breezy’s Back!

Breezy is Back...

And the latest news is that Chris Brown has Hip-Hop singing sensation August Alsina joining him on his South Africa leg of the Chris Brown X Tour Live.

AUGUST ALSINA

This will be the 1st visit for August Alsina to South Africa and the pair are set to be performing at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on 2 April 2015 and at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Duban on 4 April 2015.

Glen 21 Entertainment, Jalibird and Vertex Events are the 3 promoters which are excited to bring Chris Brown, supported by August Alsina to South Africa on the X Tour Live line-up. And South African fans are bound to be treated to, what the 3 promoters agree will be, the biggest entertainment highlight of 2015.

The 22 year old New Orleans singer recently collaborated with Chris Brown & Trey Songz and from that trio came the remix “I Luv This Shit” and performed it on stage at the 2014 BET Awards. This single has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide. Now his 2nd fantasy to perform on stage with Chris Brown will be realised in South Africa on the X Tour Live. His dreams to perform on stage was fulfilled when he supported R&B Superstar, Usher at the LA Staples Center last November.

It was at the age of 14 that August was inspired to start singing after he watched ‘Sister Act 2’ and Lauren Hill’s rendition of “His Eyes on a Sparrow” was the song that started it all. Music soon became his escape from reality after the death of his father and he turned to YouTube to share his talent with those who would watch. Millions of views later he decided that music would become his life and career. After his 16th Birthday August returned to New Orleans after he was banished from his mother’s home. It was at this stage in his life that he turned to selling drugs for money with his brother, but sadly August’s brother died in a shoot-out and it was at this point that he was inspired to use music as a way out of this style of living.

It was in 2012 that August released his debut mixtape – ‘The Product’, but it was in 2013 that the second installment of ‘The Product’ was released, where he collaborated with DJ Drama and his Gangsta Grillz brand. It was on this tape that his breakout single – ‘I Luv This Shit’ featured. After this it was all plain sailing for him with some hard work of course. Soon the single was #1 record on the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Chart.

In April of last year he released his debut album – ‘Testimony’, which he dedicated to the memory of his brother. This album sold 67,000 units in its 1st week. His 1st National tour in the USA consisted of 18 sold out shows after which he ended up on stage with Usher.

It is now that August Alsina is set to grace the crowds in South Africa and fans are in for a concert of a lifetime with Grammy Award winning and multi-platinum- selling singer & songwriter Chris Brown for only 2 shows, and if you want in on the action you best hurry and get your tickets now!
