What is probably one of the most famous Afrikaans movies ever made, Fiela se Kind, now a stage adaptation of Dalene Matthee's masterpiece is heading to the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.
The story told is that of a Cape Coloured woman who adopted an abandoned white child that was found in the woods & the events that unfold as the child grows up being very different from those in his immediate surroundings. But what will happen when his 'real' family come to find him?
The only way to find out, (as if you don't already know) will be to head to the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace between 20 June & 2 July 2017. The stage production boasts a star-studded cast, led by Shaleen Surtie-Richards, as she takes to the stage to reprise her role as Fiela Komoetie. Joining her on stage will be Marissa Claasen, Jaime du Toit, Johny Klein and a few more.
Shows running from Tuesdays to Sunday.
